This is a whimsical tarot deck featuring cuddly creatures with enormous goggly eyes. You might expect from that description for the deck to be cutesy, but it is instead rather bizarre. A representative sample of the artwork can be found here. I find the look very appealing and strangely appropriate for tarot. Which is why I bought the deck.
Each suit has its own animal type. Cups = rabbits, Pentacles = foxes, Wands = frogs, Swords = cats. The reasoning and explanation is provided in the book that comes with the deck. Also included are card descriptions and a serviceable spread based on a tree theme. (The Sacred Tree of the Magical Forest, to be specific.)
I really like this deck. The majors, especially, really pop. The minors are solid, but there's not a lot of innovation there; it's Rider-Waite all the way. To tell the truth, the majors are largely traditional as well, but they look fabulous. I would totally read with this deck. Maybe someday I will. Cards that I really like include the High Priestess, the Empress, Justice, the Moon, Five of Cups, Two of Wands.
